Great Indoor Folk Festival ~ Feb 12, 2012
The 4th Annual Great Indoor Folk Festival takes place this Sunday, February 12 in Building 50 at the Grand Traverse Commons. The festival runs from noon to 5:30, and it is family-friendly and free, though you're encouraged to donate through "busker buckets."

There will be 6 different stages with over 50 musicians on seven different stages.   read more »

News from the Week

The top story was Tuesday's primary elections, which featured District #2 commissioner Mark Walter fending off a challenge from Mike Anton, reauthorization of a countywide road millage and a split vote on an annual $29 per-household fee for five years to fund the county recycling program. At the above link there's more election reports including township & municipal proposals.

Other stories included growing controversy on the Michigan Supreme Court that Leelanau resident Justice Elizabeth Weaver is at the heart of and a tour of Cedar from the Glen Arbor Sun.
