Focus on Cedar

Filed under: Business, Leelanau, cedar, wine — Andrew McFarlane @ 8:34 am

Welcome to CedarThe latest issue of the Glen Arbor Sun has a pair of great features on the village of Cedar. Getting to know Cedar says that with Liberty Quilts and Inish Knits, Cedar has become a mecca for fiber fanciers. Writer Josephine Arrowood takes you on a nice tour of the town's businesses and amenities.

The second feature goes in-depth with the new Longview Winery tasting room and Cedar Rustic Inn restaurant where Culinary Institute of America trained Chef Aaron Ackley serves breakfast and lunch (with dinner soon to come). Read more of Cedar’s newest restaurant offers fresh, local dining in the Sun.

Visit the Longview winery web site.

  1. Just discovered Longview Winery last weekend -- they're making some extraordinary wines, especially the Pinot Gris and Cab Franc. Tasting room is off the usual wine route, but definitely worth the detour.

  2. Thanks for the report, Joel. I had heard that Longview won some major medals. For those who are interested in tasting room tours, a map of wineries is available at the Leelanau Peninsula Vintner's web site.
