February 22, 2007/in almanac, Leelanau, photo, weather, winter

News from the Week

The news included an update on the Sugar Loaf situation, a vote by Northport’s school board to commit to keeping the high school open and a report (with lots of photos) from the TC Kite Derby.
The Week’s Weather

This week we broke free from a long run of sub-20s. Unfortunately, we skipped right past moderate cold and went full on to “springlike.” While the Homestead, Crystal and most trails still have good coverage (and falling temps should keep it that way), we did drop a fair amount of snow over the last few days.

February 15, 2007: Snow & mid teens (17Ëš/3Ëš)
February 16, 2007: Partly sunny, windy & 20s (26Ëš/0Ëš)
February 17, 2007: Light snow, windy & 20s (26Ëš/19Ëš)
February 18, 2007: Snow & teens (19Ëš/0Ëš)
February 19, 2007: Early clouds, afternoon sun & upper 30s (41Ëš/10Ëš)
February 20, 2007: 30s with a good deal of sun (35Ëš/19Ëš)
February 21, 2007: Mostly sunny & 40s (46Ëš/21Ëš)
