Sugar Loaf Mountain Resort has re-opened and we at Leelanau.com have decided to place the popular Sugar Loaf forum in an archive. Why? It seems (to us) that the original purpose of the forum has been served.
Still, there are a whole lot of business-related issues in Leelanau County that still merit discussion, so we have created our new Leelanau County Business Forum.
The new forum is for the discussion of ways to increase business (summer and year round) while maintaining the traditional small town feel that characterizes Leelanau County. We also hope that people will discuss ways to preserve industries like the cherry industry that are threatened.
