Sleeping Bear Dune Climb Concert - Sunday, July 13th
The annual Manitou Music Festival Dune Concert takes place next Sunday (July 13, 2008) at 7 PM at the Sleeping Bear Dune Climb. This year is the 10th Annual (amazing) and the theme is Two Cellos Ride the Dunes: Crispin Campbell & Eugene Friesen. The Madison Post takes a look at Leelanau County that's worth a read. One of the comments of the writer that might bear consideration is that's it's hard to find our beautiful beaches - is that intentional on our part?

It appears they've taken the story off line. I think its good we have hard to find beaches. It keeps the traffic down and allows us to still have our own 'private' beaches...at least for a few more years. I rather enjoy the fact that I know where to go and the tourists don't.

I think their site is having problems because all the articles are not found. I do enjoy it when I'm walking the shoreline without another soul in site.
