Student Numbers Continue Downward Trend

Filed under: Leelanau, schools — Andrew McFarlane @ 8:25 am

Area papers report that (with the exception of Leland School)  student numbers at Leelanau County school districts have continued their overall trend of decline. This fall's count of 2,369 students is 10% less than the 2,637 counted in September 2003. The Record-Eagle says that Leelanau's trend mirrors  the rest of northern Michigan.
