Hey Janet, thought I replied to this! I notice I get the worst sunburns in May. I think it's due to the angle of the sun (we're just a month from the peak) plus the fact that it's cool so we don't feel the rays. Could be tied to ozone though. I bet this page has the answer though!

We have a TON of tiny flies out (was like snow yesterday).
Anyone know what they are? I found this page with Michigan fly hatches:
