Great Indoor Folk Festival ~ Feb 12, 2012
The 4th Annual Great Indoor Folk Festival takes place this Sunday, February 12 in Building 50 at the Grand Traverse Commons. The festival runs from noon to 5:30, and it is family-friendly and free, though you're encouraged to donate through "busker buckets."

There will be 6 different stages with over 50 musicians on seven different stages.   read more »

Leland's Glass Selected as Athlete of the Year

Leland's Alisha GlassThe TC record-Eagle reports that Leland senior Alisha Glass was honored as the Michigan Female Athlete of the Year by the Detroit Athletic Club in a ceremony Monday night. The award is designed to honor both athletic performance and scholarship and has been won by such athletes as Shane Battier and Drew Henson.

Glass helped to lead Leland to the 2006 state volleyball title. She will attend (and play for) Penn State, was previously named Gatorade's volleyball Player of the Year in Michigan and Michigan's Miss Volleyball.
