Great Indoor Folk Festival ~ Feb 12, 2012
The 4th Annual Great Indoor Folk Festival takes place this Sunday, February 12 in Building 50 at the Grand Traverse Commons. The festival runs from noon to 5:30, and it is family-friendly and free, though you're encouraged to donate through "busker buckets."

There will be 6 different stages with over 50 musicians on seven different stages.   read more »

Leland School OM Team wins state championship, advances to World Finals

Michigan Odyssey of the MindLeland School had a team win first place in the Michigan Odyssey of the Mind competition this weekend. The team of Austin Fellows, Autumn Decker, Liam Stevenson, Anna Bahle, Gunnar Carlson, & Christian Doran (coached by Jenny Henderson) will advance to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals. They also won the prestigious OMER award, given to individuals or teams who exemplify the spirit and philosophy of Odyssey of the Mind.
This year the Worlds will be in Michigan - at Michigan State University in East Lansing from May 23-26, 2007. Get much more information at miodyssey.com and also read an article about the competition in the TC Record Eagle.
