The Detroit News has an excellent and comprehensive tour of Leelanau County's wineries complete with photo galleries and some links to web sites (you can see them all at the Leelanau Peninsula Vintner's web site).

About half of Michigan's wineries are located in northwest Michigan with Leelanau having the highest concentration. Mitch Irwin, director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture says "In just 10 years, Michigan's wine industry has doubled in size. It plays an important role in diversifying our economy and supporting local growth. And now, with a sharper focus on boosting agricultural tourism, we're certain to accelerate the development of this key industry."
