Sleeping Bear Dune Climb Concert - Sunday, July 13th
The annual Manitou Music Festival Dune Concert takes place next Sunday (July 13, 2008) at 7 PM at the Sleeping Bear Dune Climb. This year is the 10th Annual (amazing) and the theme is Two Cellos Ride the Dunes: Crispin Campbell & Eugene Friesen. The Glen Arbor Sun has an interesting feature on Leelanau Independent Women for Democratic Action (LIWDA), a non-partisan, progressive, political action group.
Co-founder Celeste Crouch said "This little group we had, the four of us, we decided to take our discontentment and turn it into positive energy. We created a forum and a way for (women) to get involved and make a difference."
