Now the we have had the unofficial start of summer, activities and events are plentiful, not only on the weekends, but throughout the week. This is is Smart Commute Week, which helps promote alternative ways to getting around town. Also this week, if you are looking for a house for you vacation to Leelanau, or know someone who is, visit the crew at Visit Up North Rentals during their Open House this week. On Saturday is the Second Annual M-22 Challenge, athletes will bike, run, and paddle through the natural terrain and environmental elements of the area. Looking ahead, the Northport Lighthouse and Maritime Festival is Saturday, June 19. Also on Saturday is the LPVA Small Plates, area wineries are pairing with local chefs serving substantial tapas dishes.
