News from the Week

Features this week included our new March 2008 page where you can post comments about events, news, the weather, or whatever you’re thinking about. We also had the announcement of the Leelanau Conservation District Plant & Seedling Sale, took a look at the New Great Lakes Dunes Stamp features Sleeping Bear and followed the run of Leland’s boys basketball team to the state quarterfinals. There was even time for a couple of photos of wallpaper caliber of some Mute Swans in Leland Harbor (and a gallery of Fishtown pics) and of Brunson Barn on Port Oneida.

The Week’s Weather

The week’s weather was pretty nice – plenty of snow left to play in and a lot of sun to help folks feel less S.A.D.

March 6, 2008: Light snow & 20s (28/16)
March 7, 2008: Light snow & teens (17/7)
March 8, 2008: Mostly sunny & teens (18/1)
March 9, 2008: Mostly sunny & teens (21/1)
March 10, 2008: Sunny & (eventually) low 30s  (32/-2)
March 11, 2008:  Mostly cloudy, flurries and upper 30s (39/18)
March 12, 2008:  Partly sunny, flurries and 30s (35/25)
