Great Indoor Folk Festival ~ Feb 12, 2012
The 4th Annual Great Indoor Folk Festival takes place this Sunday, February 12 in Building 50 at the Grand Traverse Commons. The festival runs from noon to 5:30, and it is family-friendly and free, though you're encouraged to donate through "busker buckets."

There will be 6 different stages with over 50 musicians on seven different stages.   read more »

ISEA Benefit Wine Auction

ISEA AuctionThe Inland Seas Education Association will hold their annual Wines from the Old World Wine Tasting and Auction to Benefit the Inland Seas Education Association's student scholarship fund at Traverse City Country Club on Saturday, Nov. 3.

The Leelanau Enterprise writes:

Auction highlights include a cooking class with Guilaume Hazael-Massieux of the restaurant La Becasse; a wine tour in Provence for 4-6 people; two nights in Chicago and an ice wine auction at Hart Davis Hart; and a private tasting party in the winning bidder’s home called "Leelanau against the world" with host Larry Mawby. In addition, a renovated 8-foot pram will be auctioned.
