Every Saturday in May the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore will hold a ranger-led, educational walk in the Lakeshore with topics including frogs, beaver lodges, wild flowers and migratory birds! It demonstrates the time-honored tradition of "berging" down the Carp River in Leland from North Lake Leelanau to a stopping point that is curiously close to the Blue Bird.
