Holiday Happenings in Leelanau

There's a lot of holiday happenings coming up - here's a list of some of them and check the Leelanau Calendar for more!

Northport
Merchant's Open House & Tree Lighting, November 28 at 1:30 PM. Enjoy a Puppet Workshop at Dolls & More, Story time at Brew North, Visits with Santa, and the lighting of the village tree at 6:00PM. Specials from Northport merchants include: half off the walk-in rate at Northport Fitness, a free Christmas ornament and painting with any other item purchase from The Ceramic House, and the opportunity to meet mystery author Mardi Link when she signs copies of her new book Isadore’s Secret: Sin, Murder and Confession in a Northern Michigan Town.

Glen Arbor
The Pajama Party and town-wide sale runs from 5-7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 27th. Wear your PJ’s and shop for great bargains. Then come back for the Old-Fashioned Tree Lighting Ceremony and Carole Singing at the Glen Arbor Town Hall at 7 p.m. Doors will open immediately following the tree lighting for the Glen Arbor Holiday Marketplace. The Holiday Marketplace continues from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28th, and includes the annual crafts show featuring local artists and crafters … and a visit from Santa.

Empire

Shop local this year at Artisan Market held at the Empire Town Hall and enjoy doing it with with Local Artists and their Wares for Sale, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Live Music by various local Artists, Winter Readings by Lois Beardslee, Horse Carriage Rides, Kids Craft Corner
Refreshments by Maybings, join us after for the town tree lighting.

Leland
This is "Where the Holidays Begin!" Great holiday sales begin early. Shop in this charming small town and have lots of fun, too, during the PJ Party and Sale from 8am to 10am in Leland. The fun doesn't stop then. Enjoy a great lunch or dinner in our restaurants and avoid the city crowds while shopping all day in Leland's unique shops. But for the best bargains, show up early in your pj's!
