 Great Indoor Folk Festival ~ Feb 12, 2012
The 4th Annual Great Indoor Folk Festival takes place this Sunday, February 12 in Building 50 at the Grand Traverse Commons. The festival runs from noon to 5:30, and it is family-friendly and free, though you're encouraged to donate through "busker buckets."

There will be 6 different stages with over 50 musicians on seven different stages.   read more »

15th annual Sleeping Bear Dunegrass & Blues Festival

Dunegrass and Blues Music Festival - 2006The 15th annual Sleeping Bear Dunegrass & Blues Festival (aka "Dunegrass") takes place August 2-5 in Empire. The festival has some incredible nationally known talent this year including David Grisman, Railroad Earth, Yonder Mountain String Band and Keller Williams. There's also some great regional acts like The Biddies, Steppin' in It and Earthwork Music.

In addition to camping, food and clothing vendors and of course swimming at the Empire Beach, this year's festival offers 3 stages, meaning there will probably not be a dull moment to be found.
