POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Leelanau Vacation Rentals is a rental management company for privately owned properties. Due to the nature of this relationship, accommodations are subject to change.
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT
You need to check in at our office located at 6546 South State Street in Glen Arbor. Check-in is after 4:00 P.M. Check-out is before 10:00 A.M. If you will be arriving after 5:00 P.M. your keys, along with directions to your unit will be in our key box that is located just outside our office front door. If you arrive after 5:00 P.M. your balance will be charged to your credit card. The check-in and check-out times are strictly enforced during July and August. During the other seasons, we are flexible on both check-in and check-out times.
CANCELLATION POLICY
For the months of June, July, and August we require a 90-day cancellation notice. For September through May we require a 30-day cancellation notice. Deposits will be refunded, less a $100.00 cancellation fee if the cancellation is made prior to the required cancellation dates. All other cancellations will result in forfeiture of your deposit. If we are able to re-rent the property for the full period of time at the original rate, then you will be refunded your deposit, less the $100.00 cancellation fee.
OCCUPANCY
Occupancy of our properties is for the number of people stated on your confirmation. This number includes children and babies. Parties and gatherings of people in excess of the number specified are not permitted. Occupancy violation will subject all guests to immediate eviction and forfeiture of all monies.
MAINTENANCE
Please report any maintenance or housekeeping problems immediately. Even the best appliances, TV's, etc. occasionally malfunction and we cannot guarantee them to perform 100% of the time. We do, however, guarantee to correct any problem as soon as possible (during business hours). THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS DUE TO SUCH PROBLEMS.
PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED in any of our rental units UNLESS it is noted on our website. If an unauthorized pet is discovered, the pet must be removed immediately to a boarding facility at your expense and you will be charged a $100.00 pet fee. If the pet is not removed immediately, you will be asked to leave and will forfeit all monies.
HOUSEKEEPING
Leelanau Vacation Rentals does not provide daily maid service. Your property will be clean when you arrive and we will clean it when you depart. If you will be requiring any special cleaning during your stay, please contact our office, in advance, to receive rates and schedule the cleaning.
If a property requires excessive cleaning when you depart, you could be charged a minimum of $50.00.
Homestead Condominiums - Each unit is supplied with linens and one set of towels for each person the unit accommodates.
Homes & Cottages - Linens and towels are not provided unless noted on our website.
FIREWORKS AND BONFIRES
Fireworks are not permitted at any of our properties. Bonfires are only permitted if a property has a designated bonfire pit. If you have an unapproved bonfire or use fireworks at any property you will be charged $250.00 plus damages.
MISCELLANEOUS
If you are staying at The Homestead, as an outside rental agency we cannot offer you access to the Beachclub, golf course, or tennis courts that are offered by The Homestead. You do, however, have access to the beach and Lake Michigan.
There is no boat, trailer or motorcycle parking at The Homestead.
All long distance phone calls must be made with a credit card or by calling collect.
DAMAGES AND LIABILITY
The damage waiver covers up to $250.00 of accidental damage. Any damage beyond $250.00 you will liable for. Renter shall indemnify and hold Leelanau Vacation Rentals and all employees free and harmless, where such injury, property damage or death is caused or allegedly caused by any negligence or intentional act of renter or any guests of the renter. Leelanau Vacation Rentals and the owners of our vacation property are not responsible for personal property brought into our vacation rental properties.
