The Traverse City Film Festival is an annual celebration of film in one of the most beautiful areas in the country, Traverse City, Michigan. We will show the best in world cinema -- American and Foreign, Fiction & Non-Fiction, Live Action & Animation, Classics, and Premieres. Our mission is to show "just great films."
Changes for 2006 Traverse City Film Festival Announced
The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports that organizers say the Traverse City Film Festival will be one day longer and will be held August 1 - August 6, 2006. In addition to the State Theater, the Old Town Playhouse, the City Opera House and floating screen at the Open Space, organizers plan to add one more venue. The lineup of movies is expected to be announced in February and you can read the TC Record-Eagle story and visit the Traverse City Film Festival web site.
The first Traverse City Film Festival was held July 27-31, 2005, with nearly 50,000 admissions. Venues included the State Theater, the City Opera House, the Old Town Playhouse, and the Open Space.
