Leland Takes Regionals, Moves to Quarterfinals [November 28, 2005]
The Leland Comets, paced by Alisha Glass and Erin Sneed, defeated Gaylord St Mary 38-31 in a defensive struggle last week. The move on to face Frankfort tomorrow night (Tuesday, Nov 29) in the Girls Basketball Quarterfinals at Traverse City Central. Read Prep Basketball: Frankfort, Leland win.
Starlight Night Fundraiser for Leland School [November 29, 2005]
The annual fundraiser for Leland School & the Leland Education Foundation will be held this Friday (Dec 2) from 6 - 11 PM at the Blue Bird. Featured are an amazing collection of trips, dinners, services and items for home & family in the silent & live auction, dancing (live music) & a great buffet.
Leland Falls to Frankfort, Glass All-State [November 30, 2005]
The Leland Comets got 20 points from Alisha Glass, but ultimately lost to Frankfort last night in the Girls Basketball Quarterfinals at Traverse City Central. Congratulations on a great year, ladies! In other news, Leland's Alisha Glass was voted unanimously to the Michigan Associated Press Class D All State Team. Glass is a returning All-Stater and averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3.7 blocked shots per game this season. Read Banktson, Glass, Loney earn all-state.
