Merry Marketplace
This Saturday (November 10th) from 10am to 5pm the Old Art Building in Leland will host the Merry Marketplace with vendors selling art, Christmas crafts, jewelry, food products, knitted items, quilted pillows and more. Modified South Fox Land Swap [11.09.01]
The Detroit Free Press reports that South Fox landowner David Johnson has proposed a modified swap with the state. A key feature is that no exchange of lands on the south end (where the lighthouse and boat landing are) is proposed. Complete story in the Freep

Girls Basketball Districts [11.13.01]
Districts in the Cherryland Conference will be held tonight (Nov. 14) in Northport Wednesday. Lake Leelanau St. Mary's meets Traverse City Christian at 6 PM and Leland faces Northport at 7:30. The championship game will be Friday at 7:30 PM. In the Class C opener Monday, Glen Lake (20-1) defeated Suttons Bay 64-22. The Lakers meet Forest Area tonight.
Leelanau Septic Ordinance [11.14.01]
