Spam Taking Its Toll [10.23.03]
Detroit Free Press columnist Mike Wendland has an interesting piece on the toll that the estimated 15 billion daily spam emails (half of all messages) is taking on email users (read column). On a brighter note, the "Can Spam" bill passed the US Senate yesterday (read story).
Barn Red [10.24.03]
The Leelanau Enterprise has a feature about the filming of "Barn Red" by area filmmaker Rich Brauer and starring Ernest Borgnine. The movie is being shot at Rex Dobson's Ruby Ellen Farm in Leelanau County and is about a farmer in danger of losing his farm. Read the story.
Northport Officials Concerned About TBAISD [10.27.03]
The Leelanau Enterprise reports that Northport School officials are unhappy with services they receive through the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District and also concerned about the procedure for hiring a new TBAISD superintendent. Read the story.
