LHS Relinquished Treasure Sale [Sep 22, 2005]
The Leelanau Historical Society's Relinquished Treasure Sale will feature furniture and decorative arts. The sale will be held on Saturday, October 8 from 9 AM to 1 PM in the parking lot across from the Bluebird Restaurant on River Street, Leland. The LHS will pick up your tax-deductible donations on October 5th - 7th. Greilickville Could Host Nonprofit Center [Sep 23, 2005]
The Leelanau Enterprise reports that a consortium of non-profit organizations is considering taking up a real estate developer's offer for free use of two Greilickville parcels that could, when work is completed, create a new tourist destination in Leelanau County. The groups are the Great Lakes ChildrenŐs Museum, Maritime Heritage Alliance, Watershed Center Grand Traverse Bay and the Traverse Area Community Sailing organization.Read New tourist destination?. Every Hundred Days Voting [Sep 26, 2005]

Late Night Leland [Sep 27, 2005]
Late Night Leland offers special, one-night only sales and will be held on Wednesday, October 5 from 5-8 PM in the village of Leland (and in Fishtown). List of participating stores from the Leland web site!
Fiber Festival 2005 [Sep 28, 2005]
The annual Fiber Festival has the opening reception 5-8 PM next Friday (Oct 7) and continues Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM at the Old Art Building in Leland. On hand will be twenty artists showing and selling original fiber art in mediums of paper, wearable art (clothing), tapestry, woven and felted handbags, weaving, quilts, knits, fiber sculpture, and baskets. Admission is free and open to the public. Old Art Building web site.
