Animated Suttons Bay Timeline [09.02.04]
Leelanau County artists Ken Scott and Chris Allen-Wickler are collaborating with kids of all ages on an animated time line movie project that offers glimpses of the 150 year history of Suttons Bay. All are invited to come take a sneak peek over the official Labor Day Weekend Sesquicentennial Celebration, September 4th and 5th at the studio located downtown at 310 Saint Joseph Street. Student Enrollment Dips [09.03.04]
The Leelanau Enterprise reports that student enrollment is down in three of the county's four school districts. Leland is slightly up, Suttons Bay & Glen Lake slightly down, but Northport has dropped dramatically. Numbers are down to 177 from last year's 225, the lowest at Northport since 1945. Read the story.

North Manitou Island Field Trip [09.08.04]
This Saturday (Sep 11) the Leelanau Historical Society holds their annual trip to North Manitou. The day includes guided tours of the village, short hikes to other historic sites and Lake Manitou and a hike to the former site of Crescent.
