Primary Election Results [08.07.02]
The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports that in yesterday's primary, District 3 commissioner Richard Scmuckal won by just 16 votes over Will Bunek. Other commissioners elected were Mark Walter and Mary Tonneberger. John J. Popa will be on the Road Commission and Harry Larkin was elected Leland Township Supervisor. Voters also approved two county-wide proposals: a six-year request for additional senior citizen services and funding for the road commission. Complete story.
