Local Sweet Cherries in Time for Cherry Fest [Jun 30, 2005
The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports that a warm spring has the area sweet cherry crop roughly 5-7 days ahead of this time last year, meaning local sweets will be on hand for the National Cherry Festival (and visitors at large). Read Warm spring makes life like a bowl of cherries for farmers.
Shared Superintendent Plan Takes Shape [Jul 1, 2005]

Leland Artists' Market this Saturday [Jul 5, 2005]
The Leelanau Community Cultural Center is sponsoring the annual Artists' Market at the Old Art Building in Leland this Saturday (July 9) from 10 am to 5 pm. There will be 70 art booths on the lawn and inside the building featuring fine art paintings, pottery, rustic furniture, glass, jewelry, woodcarving, fiber, folk art, sculpture and quality artisan wares.
