Lighthouse Conference in Traverse City [04.29.04]
"Keep the Lights On", a conference on lighthouse preservation efforts in the Great Lakes region will be held in Traverse City June 2-5, 2004 at the Park Place Hotel. For more information visit the Michigan Lighthouse Project.
Could County Seat Move Close Post Office? [04.30.04]
The Leelanau Enterprise reports that retired Leland postmaster Joy Lang is concerned that moving the county seat from Leland could spell the end for a post office in Leland. Commissioner Tom Evans quotes a postal service official saying this wouldn't be the case. Read the story.
