Exposures 2004 Reception & Show [04.22.04]
A reception for Leelanau County students with work in "Exposures 2004" will be held next Friday (Apr 30) from 6-9 PM at the Old Art Building in Leland. The show continues Saturday, May 1 (10-5 PM) and Sunday, May 2 (Noon-4 PM). For more information call Judy Livingston at 256-2131.

Lake Leelanau is sponsoring the annual Walleye Festival and Car Show next Saturday (May 8). Events include the fishing tournament, car show, food booths, parade, kids games and more. Barn Red Coming to The Bay! [04.27.04
Rich Brauer's new movie Barn Red (filmed in Leelanau County) will be coming to the Bay Theatre May 7th - 13th. It opens with a benefit showing for Farm Preservation on Friday May 7th at 7 PM. More information.
Granholm Seeks Job Help, Gets Criticized
The Detroit Free Press reports that Gov. Granholm went to Washington yesterday, looking for help in reviving Michigan's manufacturing sector. Michigan Republicans dismissed the move as grandstanding for John Kerry. Read the story.
