It's -3 degrees under clear skies at 7:00 AM at our Leland office. Cold, but nowhere close to the -30 from March 3, 1943. The forecast for today calls for sunny skies with a high in the low 20s. Look for south winds tomorrow bringing highs into the mid 30s with clouds. The outlook for the rest of the week calls for highs in the low 40s on Thursday and Friday with temps back into the 20s for the weekend.

Leelanau Chamber seeking visitor center volunteers
The Leelanau Enterprise reports that the Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is seeking volunteers to fill shifts at the Chamber visitor center from May through October.
The shifts are two hours between 11-3 and tasks include greeting and assisting visitors with their requests, mailing vacation packets, answering phone inquiries and working on special Chamber projects.
