The "Legend of Love" Necklace has been specially created by Becky in honor of this landmark event.
An owl hides in the opal night. A turtle and fish swim in the turquoise water. A pair of bears bordered by rhodochrosite hearts relaxes in the amber sands, surrounded by sunset. Hues shift, meld, and blend in a transition familiar to all who have experienced and witnessed the romance of Leelanau. This is Thatcher romance, a legend of love.

"This piece honors an exceptional couple who exemplify the beauty of older love," says goldsmith Thatcher. "The display environment represents the view they share as they look out onto Lake Leelanau." Sitting on the desk at the window is a card in an envelope, love stamps, and a pen ... patiently waiting. Legends cannot be rushed.

A nationally known jewelry designer, Thatcher specializes in unusually colored gemstones. Vivid images are inspired by Leelanau, and ‘painted' with gemstones set in gold and silver.
