May 20 - Fishing in the channel in front of Birch Shores: Brothers' Jim, John and nephew James boated a 19 inch largemouth weighing in at just over 5 pounds AND a 17 inch smallmouth weighing in at just under 4 pounds. Both jumped and fought valiantly and were returned to the lake because they were not yet in season. Seven smallish northern pike rounded out two days of fishing. New beverage fridges for both cottages are installed. A new fire pit for the front dock area is in place, which will make the evening campfires, 'smores, and sing-a-longs more enjoyable.
