L2K is the result of some thinking by Andrew McFarlane. This thinking is the result of discussions with Jonathan Beard, John Duperon and Andrew's wife Annie. It also springs from his membership in the Leelanau 2000 Project and a desire not to be sitting around bemoaning his fate on January 1, 2000. In keeping with Leelanau.Com's goal of encouraging online community, we will try to provide relevant information to those in the Leelanau, Grand Traverse and surrounding area. However, anyone, anywhere is encouraged to add to the L2K Project and to participate in discussion. You may wonder why we're putting so many disclaimers all over this web site. The reason is simple: The Year 2000 Crisis will probably be the single biggest subject of legal suits for years to come. Since we are providing this information and web site solely as a public service and have no staff dedicated to sorting out all the thorny legal and technical issues surrounding Y2K, we feel we need to make it clear under what terms this information is provided.
