News from the Week

The top story was news that the Glen Lake School district may join Northport in relying only on non-homestead property tax revenue to fund its $6.7 million annual budget. Other stories included news that Traverse City’s city commissioners voted unanimously to back the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement and also a report on the status of the sale of the county governmental complex in Leland.

The Week’s Weather
Starting last Friday, conditions took a turn for the wintry and now we have a seasonally appropriate covering of snow, so break out the skis and snowshoes!

January 11, 2007: Partly sunny, breezy & 40s (43Ëš/30Ëš)
January 12, 2007: Cloudy w/ late snow/freezing rain and falling temps (39Ëš/27Ëš)
January 13, 2007: Light snow & low 20s (24Ëš/17Ëš)
January 14, 2007: Cloudy & 20s (28Ëš/23Ëš)
January 15, 2007: Snow & low 20s (26Ëš/19Ëš)
January 16, 2007: Light snow & teens (21Ëš/10Ëš)
January 17, 2007: Cloudy & very cold (27Ëš/3Ëš)
