I have a childhood friend that is a gifted doctor. One evening at his cabin I asked him what is the biggest issue he deals with in his world. He said "mental illness, because it is so hard to diagnose, there are no x-ray's and no surgery that provides a rapid recovery". I'll never forget the quite the fell upon the place as we all contemplated exactly what he meant and our silent agreement. This is incredibly powerful and somewhat haunting.
