24 Hours in Fishtown Exhibit (Oct 14 - Dec 31)

Filed under: Leelanau, calendar, fishtown, history, photo, preservation, schools — Andrew McFarlane @ 11:06 am

Fishtown by Jenny MurrayA selection of photographs made by Leelanau County students during a 24 hour period on August 17-18, 2006  produced over 2,500 pictures of Leland's historic Fishtown. Their assignment was to document Fishtown as it exists in 2006 and to use their skills as a photographer to capture views of Fishtown that most people don't see.

The exhibit opens Saturday, October 14 and can be viewed at the Museum 10 am - 4 pm Thursdays through Saturdays. A selection of the images will become a permanent record of Fishtown in the Leelanau Historical Museum archives.

Get details in this TC Record-Eagle article from the summer and/or visit the Leelanau Historical Museum web site.
